Replit Launches Pro Plan at $100/Month, Cuts Core to $20
SAN FRANCISCO — Replit on Wednesday introduced Replit Pro, a new top-tier subscription aimed at serious developers and production teams, while lowering the price of its Core plan to $20 per month and adding improved collaboration tools.
The move reflects the platform’s growing user base, which now spans beginners experimenting with code and professional teams deploying production applications. Replit said it has heard consistent feedback that its previous pricing tiers were not clearly aligned with different builder needs.
“Replit Pro is our most powerful plan yet, built for serious builders who want to push their projects further with the best Agent experience and premium benefits,” the company said in its official announcement.
New Pro Plan Targets Power Users
Replit Pro is priced at $100 per month and includes access to advanced Agent modes, tiered credits with discounts, priority support, the ability to invite up to 15 builders, and credit rollover.
The plan replaces the former Teams offering. Existing Teams customers are being upgraded to Pro at no additional cost for the remainder of their current term, according to Replit’s documentation.
The new tier is designed for developers and organizations running complex, resource-intensive projects that benefit from higher limits, faster support, and enhanced AI agent capabilities. Replit has increasingly positioned its AI Agents as a core part of the development experience.
Core Plan Becomes More Accessible
At the same time, Replit is repositioning its Core plan as the go-to option for individuals, students, and casual builders. Core now costs $20 per month — a reduction from its previous price — and includes the ability to invite up to 5 collaborators at no extra cost.
Additional Core benefits include new cost-management controls and a complimentary 4-month subscription to Perplexity Pro for new and existing Core members, the company said.
The simplified structure leaves Replit with two primary paid plans: Core for getting started and casual use, and Pro for professional and team workloads. A free tier remains available for basic usage.
Industry Context and Competitive Positioning
Replit, once known primarily as an online IDE popular with students and educators, has evolved into a full-featured cloud development platform with strong AI capabilities. The company has invested heavily in AI Agents that can write, debug, and deploy code autonomously.
The pricing update comes as competition intensifies among AI-powered development platforms, including GitHub Copilot Workspace, Cursor, and emerging agent-first tools. By offering tiered plans with clear use cases and bundling third-party perks such as Perplexity Pro access, Replit aims to improve perceived value and reduce decision friction for users.
Impact on Developers and Teams
For individual developers and small teams, the lower Core price and added collaboration seats lower the barrier to entry for using Replit’s full feature set. Professional users and organizations gain a dedicated high-end plan with meaningful capacity increases and priority support.
The credit rollover and tiered credit system in Pro should help teams better manage usage and avoid unexpected costs — a common pain point for AI-heavy development platforms where compute consumption can vary significantly.
Existing Teams customers receiving an automatic upgrade to Pro are expected to see improved capabilities without an immediate price increase, providing continuity during the transition.
What’s Next
Replit indicated it plans to pursue additional partnerships to bring further value to members. The company has not yet announced specific future pricing changes, new AI model integrations, or expanded compute options.
Users can view complete plan details and upgrade options on Replit’s pricing page. The changes took effect immediately upon announcement.
